Established in 1998 and based at Moberly Lake, near Fort St. John in northeastern British Columbia, Landsong offers “local” expertise of northern, eastern slopes and plains heritage resource management in both Alberta and British Columbia. Landsong has experience conducting work in the following resource sectors: oil and gas, mining, hydro, forestry, wind energy, seismic and highways. Landsong provides comprehensive heritage and cultural resource consulting services, and specializes in archaeological assessments, aboriginal traditional land use sites assessments, ethnographic studies and ethno-historic research and utilizes the mapping capability of geographic information systems (GIS).

Landsong is an advocate for the inclusion of aboriginal peoples in archaeology and traditional land use studies.  Aboriginal participation in projects provides an opportunity for data collection that can be utilized in responsible consultation practices between aboriginal communities, government agencies and industry.
